This Privacy statement outlines Hamton Real Estate Services policy regarding the way in which we obtain, use and disclose information pertaining to you. Hamton Real Estate Services adopts and is bound by the requirements under the National Privacy principles that are described in Schedule 3 of the Privacy Amendment (Private sector) Act 2003.

In order to conduct the many duties that are required as an Estate Agent we are required to use your Personal Information for a variety of purposes. These are outlined in the following paragraphs. By consenting to use the services offered by Hamton Real Estate Services are also consenting to the use of your personal information as described in this Statement.
For the purpose of this Statement, ‘personal information’ relates to any information in which your identity may be apparent or can be easily ascertained. In most cases this information includes but is not limited to; your name, address, telephone numbers, facsimile numbers and email addresses. - When you engage Hamton Real Estate Services to provide a service or enquire about providing a service.

Use & Disclosure of Personal Information
In order to carry out the services you have requested or otherwise enable us to carry out as a function of being a Professional Estate Agent, we will be required to use and disclose your personal information.
As a result you hereby specifically authorise that the following disclosures of Personal Information by Hamton Real Estate Services are subsequently permitted:
- Disclosures as required by law or as permitted by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
- Disclosures to potential tenants, to tradespeople and to other sources acting on behalf of the landlord.
- Disclosures to the landlord, other agents, referees and third party operators of tenancy reference databases, particularly when a tenant has failed to comply with any contractual obligations as specified in the Residential Tenancies Act 1997. This information will also be used to identify and ascertain the suitability of the potential tenant.
- Disclosures to third party consultants who may from time to time manage our computer systems or databases.
- Disclosures to government and statutory bodies, financial institutions, media organisations, to potential buyers or potential clients, to Owner’s Corporations.
- Disclosures for promotion and marketing to you of our services and/or when seeking potential clients.
The type of sales and marketing activities we undertake includes forwarding information to you regarding various property related issues in order to keep you updated on both market conditions and the variety of services Hamton Real Estate Services may offer you. If at any time you do not wish to receive any marketing or promotional material you may cancel this communication provided to you.
You hereby agree that when it is reasonably appropriate, your Personal Information will be added to our databases. These databases will be used to facilitate daily operations required to carry out our Professional Duties as required an Estate Agent and will be used in ongoing marketing and promotional activities.

If you wish to amend your Personal Information due to an error or change in details please advise us in writing to the afore-mentioned address.
Hamton Real Estate Services uses all reasonable endeavours to maintain the security of any Personal Information that we retain about you. Furthermore we shall take all reasonable measures to ensure this information is kept up to date. Your Personal Information is kept secure by industry standards and where appropriate is protected by usernames and passwords.
